One layer for St Luke’s

Oooh happy Saturday everyone!

I can’t quite believe that the sun has decided to make an appearance today. I hope you’re all making the most of it. My suggestion of a BBQ hasn’t taken flight, but maybe next time.

I’ve just spotted that the theme over at St Luke’s Challenge this month is one layer cards. Well I made this card last weekend which is just perfect!

Recipe:

Stamps: Simply Soft (hostess), Sincere Salutations

Ink: Versamark, Baja Breeze

Accessories: White embossing powder, heat gun, sponge

We converted Ben’s cot into a bed last weekend, whilst things were ok the last couple of nights with him only rolling out once. Last night he fell out 10 times, so we’ve gone and bought a barrier to stop him rolling out. Alas the instructions do not match the parts, so DH is getting rather frustrated about the whole thing. I fear a trip back to the shop may be in order! Better get back to helping :)

WOYWW and a card

Well it’s been a while hasn’t it!?! You know what happens when I’ve been absent for a while, there’s a massive post to make up for it!

Massive Post Alert!!!

Well I hope that you’re all keeping well. I’ve had my head down producing lots of loveliness for my stall next saturday (19th) as part of the Farnsfield Jubilee celebrations. Not only will I be having a stall during the day, but I’m singing in the concert during the evening too. I hope that you’ll be able to stop by and say hello!

Today is Wednesday, so I thought I’d kick off with WOYWW as I’ve not shown you my new crafty space. It’s still not exactly how I want it as I’m sharing space with my husband’s hundreds of books and I would like to replace my desk with one that’ll fit under the window, but I’m loving my new space. No more rummaging around in boxes trying to find what I need. So what do you think…

Right onto my card. The theme over at Less is More is Yellow. I’m not a fan of bright colours and yellow is right up there with my least favourite, along with Orange. My lovely friend Mary J is a huge lover of bright, but it just doesn’t come naturally to me.

So anyway, here’s my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Apothecary Art

Ink: Basic Black, So Saffron

Cardstock: Whisper White, So Saffron, So Saffron DSP.

Tools and Accessories: Framelet Dies, Blender Pen

Retreat Weekend

There are still a couple of spaces left for my retreat weekend in June. Two full days of crafting in beautiful Derbyshire. Register now before it’s too late.

Back soon…

P.S. full list of winners from my April promotion will be posted very soon. If you’ve not had an e-mail from me, then I’m afraid you’ve missed out.

Summer Mini is here!

I really could do with some fanfare music blaring out when you open this post up, but alas my skills are not up to that and you’ve probably got your sound muted (I know I always do)

Happy Summer Mini day! There is so much about this release that I adore and I know you will to.

Those of you that have ordered from me recently or have requested on should be getting a visit from the postman very soon. You can view the catalogue online here

 Look at the gorgeousness…

Stampin’ Up! own scoreboard comes with the option of a metric and diagonal plate that slots on top of the imperial board – genius!

Sneeky peek

Wow two posts in one day. It’s been a long time since I managed that one!

The LIMettes have a wonderfully simple sketch for us this week and on Saturday morning when they posted it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do…

I’ve used Whisper White cardstock for my base, Bashful Blue ink, Baby’s Firsts Stamp Set (available from tomorrow) and the sentiment is from Bundle of Love.

So simple and so quick. See you tomorrow for the big launch!

Retiring products and a sneeky peak

Well today is the day. No more spring mini catalogue tomorrow, so if there’s something you’ve got your eye on, do drop me a line before 8pm to ensure that your order goes through in time. I’ll be placing an order this evening, so if you live locally or just want something small then you can collect from me, or pay the Royal Mail postage to you. Alternatively we can have it shipped directly to your door.

So here’s a twisted easel card that I’ve cased from one Monica did months ago. When I saw Monica’s card I just had to buy some of the trinket crowns. Whilst my blog may tempt you to buy things, other demo’s projects have the same effect on me!

I’ve used some retiring products and there’s a sneaky peek of a new product too…

Recipe

Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Pocket full of Posies (retires today), Pear Pizzazz

Stamps: Blessed Mother (retires today)

Tools and accessories:  Trinket Crowns (retires today), Designer Frames embossing folders, Extra Large Oval Punch, Pear Pizzazz stitched-poly ribbon,  Pear Pizzazz pleated satin ribbon.

Don’t forget that you can still earn yourself free tickets for my £500 prize draw up until midnight tonight for every £30 spent and you’ll also earn yourself a free pack of designer papers if your order is over £45. The pocket full of posies pack is one of the free papers up for grabs. Check out yesterday’s scrapbook layout for a look at another of these gorgeous papers.

P.S. all being well I’ll be back tonight with another project…

T minus 24 hours and counting

Wow, where does the time go? I know I’m terrible at updating my blog, it seems to be all or nothing at the moment. If I’m not blogging, then you can rest assured that I’m crafting and chatting to my lovely customers.

It’s been a busy week because the Spring Mini catalogue finishes tomorrow. Yep you have until 8pm tomorrow evening to send through your order to me as on Tuesday you’ll not be able to get hold of the gorgeous spring mini catalogue products anymore! I will be placing an order tomorrow evening, so if you live locally to me then you wont even have to pay any postage – woohoo!!!

I know that the loss of the Spring mini will be tough, but to soften the blow, there’s a Summer mini launching on Tuesday, and as always we’ve got some stunning products for you. It’s jolly exciting.

Today Ben had a nice big nap so I ceased the opportunity to play with some of the spring mini products as I’ve not used them nearly as much as I would have liked. So here’s a scrapbook page I put together featuring a photo of Ben and my granny which was taken when he was 4 days old and we had just got out of hospital. He’s so tiny. My mum wanted to borrow some baby clothes for a play that her kids are doing at school, so we got some of his baby clothes out of the loft and held them up against him. It’s hard to believe
that he was that tiny once.

Anyway here’s the page which will be going in my Granny’s scrapbook album that I’ve been building over the last 6 months.

Recipe:
Cardstock: Pocket full of posies (retires tomorrow), Soft Suede,
Brushed Gold, Whisper White
Tools/Accessories:
Timeless Type Alphabet, Big Shot, Fancy Label Punch, Decorative Label Punch

Don’t forget that you still have till midnight tomorrow to earn yourself some more prize draw tickets. 30 prizes worth £500 will find a home and don’t worry, if you are a winner you will get to choose from the prizes….find out more here

So many plans…

…so little time!

I had hoped to do a lovely big blog post, make a card and e-mail my lovely team of demonstrators, but its already 10pm and I’ve achieved none of these things. So here’s a quick post with a card that I made for my mum for Mother’s day that I never got round to blogging…

Recipe:

Stamps: Delightful Dozen, Creative Elements

Ink: Melon Mambo, Sahara Sand

Cardstock: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette

Tools and Accessories: Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Corner Punch

The lovely Kelly has pointed out that my card meets the criteria for this week’s Simply Stampin’ Challenge. So I figured it would be rude not to enter – Thanks Kelly!

Keep collecting those tickets!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!!

Hello peeps!

Well today is the big day. I have said goodbye to my twenties and I’m happy to say that I’m now part of the thirtys club. So how are you liking my birthday prize draw/blog candy so far??? You have until the end of the month to earn yourself some tickets and to win some prizes.

So today marks the day when I got my very first rubber stamp and where the adiction started so 22 years on, I thought I would dust the rubbah off and make a card.

I thought I’d take the opportunity to join the lovely LIMettes with their challenge this week of 3 shades of green. Whilst my entry doesn’t hold a candle to the many fabulous participants of this fab challenge blog, hopefully you’ll still like it. I’ve used Old Olive (cardstock), Lucky Limeade (balloon and ribbon) and Wild Wassabi (cat collar).

Here’s a close up…

So I hope you’ve all enjoyed your Easter and have managed to save some of your chocolate for today.

Enjoy the remains of the bank holiday as it’s back to work tomorrow :(

WOYWW

Hello!!

Well it’s been a bit quiet on the crafty front so far this week. My mum came up for the weekend and had a Stampin’ Up! party at my house, so the bed is still up in my craft zone, but you can see the state of things at the moment for WOYWW, messy as always…

At work tomorrow it’s the annual Easter raffle and cake competiton. I’ve been asked to make the prize for the raffle which is a cake and so this evening I’ve been cooking away. I decided to decorate the cake with a technique I’ve not tried before. Never a good plan when it’s for someone else, but fingers crossed it’ll be ok.

How many wrappers!!!

Tomorrow night I’m off out with some colleagues from work to celebrate the big 3-0. Why not enter my Birthday Bonanza prize draw whilst you’re here…
